Everyone knows the best thing about Christmas isn’t the presents, it’s the masses of decadent treats on offer! Over eating during the festive season is a common occurrence, with the consumption of fatty foods, high sugary treats and alcohol can cause your stomach spiral into a spin.
Nuferm is proud to stock “Papaya LQ Concentrate” a naturally fermented product made from the leaves and fruit of Green Papaya. Papaya contains a complex variety of enzymes which assist in breaking down and digesting proteins, carbohydrates and fats. Additionally, papaya is made up of good bacteria which protects the immune system, a natural enzyme that assists in the digestion of protein, fats and carbohydrates thus reducing bloating and stomach discomfort. Furthermore papaya contains valuable sources of vitamin C, fibre, magnesium, zinc and iron. Our papaya extract can be taken prior to main meals however in the spirit of Christmas I’ve whipped up a simple but tasty pre Christmas lunch/dinner digestive drink!
30ml Nuferm Papaya LQ Concentrate
100ml filtered water
1 tbsp fresh lime juice
4 fresh mint leaves
Fresh/frozen Raspberries (optional)
I’ve used a champagne glass just because it looks great! All you need to do is pour the papaya concentrate into the bottom of the glass along with fresh mint and lime juice. Pour over water and leave in the fridge to marinate for at least half hour (so that the mint flavour comes through). When your ready to serve pop in a few raspberries and top with extra lime if desired.
